As a contract welder, you provide welding services as an independent contractor. You decide which jobs you take and handle advertising, scheduling, and other business related tasks. You work on a project from start to finish, sourcing your own materials, managing tools and equipment, and testing your work. Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience performing GTAW (TIG)
• Strong GTAW (TIG) welding skills and a knowledge of how all the equipment operates
• Able to read and understand cut sheets and engineering prints thoroughly
• Knowledge of basic metallurgy and weld symbols
• Able to speak and understand English, with a focus on following directions, adhering to basic shop safety procedures, and meeting production standards
• Knowledge of basic sheet metal layout
• Math skills include basic arithmetic and geometry
• Can accurately read a tape measure to 1/16"
• Frequent standing, bending, sitting, and use of hands is required
• Specific vision abilities required to include close vision, and ability to adjust focus
• Occasionally perform physical activities including lifting (up to 50 lbs. unassisted)
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Job Description
As a TIG Welder on 2nd shift, you’ll be a key part of a team that supports cutting‐edge projects in industries like semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and data centers.
