Internship Overview

Qarbon Aerospace located in Milledgeville, GA, is seeking a Welder Intern to support our manufacturing team. This internship provides hands-on experience in welding and fabrication while working alongside experienced welders in a production environment. The intern will assist with preparing materials, operating welding equipment under supervision, reading basic blueprints, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Training will be provided as needed. The intern will also assist with other shop-related duties and projects as assigned by their supervisor.

Experience and Education Requisites

  • Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent resident per ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) guidelines.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or a foreign person per ITAR.
  • Successful candidate will be a current college student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Applicants must have completed a minimum of 30 or more semester hours and be able to provide unofficial transcripts to support this requirement.
  • Candidates pursuing a degree or technical certificate in Welding, Welding Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field are preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of welding processes, welding equipment, and shop safety is preferred.
  • Must have good communication skills, be dependable, and willing to learn.
  • Must be able to work onsite at our facility located in Milledgeville, GA.
  • Work schedule is flexible to ensure adequate time is available for school schedule and peak education demands.
  • Pay rate is $20 an hour.
