Job description

Job Title: Procurement Engineering /Value Engineering/ Supplier Transition 
NOTE: Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical/Electronics Engineering required.
Role Descriptions:
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and processes.
• Strong experience in procurement engineering and supplier qualification
• Experience in Product redesign for cost reduction or mitigation of EOL, supply chain issues.
• Experience in analyzing schematic, wiring diagram and PCB Gerber files
• Schematic entry and board layout creation.
• Experience in Drafting assembly procedures, work instructions
• Experience in Engineering Change Management processes and First article evaluation.
• Creating ECOs, CO’s, Drawing updates, Fixture design and digital work instructions.
• Prepare design change documentation
• Write and execute verification and validation protocol.
• Strong experience in procurement engineering and supplier qualification
• Design exposure with ability to understand design intent, manufacturability, and tolerance implications
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T, materials, inspection requirements)
• Hands on experience with First Article (FA) planning, execution, and evaluation
• Ability to work with multiple cross functional teams including Engineering, Sourcing, Operations, and SQEs
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to drive activities end to end to completion
• Strong communication skills for supplier coordination and follow ups
• Ability to track, report, and close issues within defined project timelines
• Experience in regulated manufacturing or life sciences industry
• Exposure to procurement engineering and production buying operations
• Familiarity with supplier contract terms and transition documentation
Identify cost reduction opportunities.
Analyze schematic, wiring diagram and PCB Gerber files
Develop Proof of concept/prototype
Complete Inspection/Analysis, modeling, regression testing and or characterization testing
Perform design change impact analysis and conduct stakeholder review
Prepare design change plan
Perform detailed drawing and engineering reviews with suppliers to identify and close gaps
Conduct design change documentation review meeting with stakeholders
Write verification & validation protocols
Perform detailed drawing and engineering reviews with suppliers to identify and close gaps
Plan, track, and manage First Article (FA).
Review FAIR documentation and perform Inspection, and form, fit and function testing
Follow up and close incomplete, incorrect, or missing supplier documentation
Perform design verification testing
Coordinate closely with SQEs, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Operations teams
Write engineering change orders required for design transfer and implementation
Coordinate closely with SQEs, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Operations teams
Act as single point owner for assigned suppliers and qualification scope to ensure quality, cost, and schedule adherence
Escalate risks and unresolved issues proactively and drive mitigation actions
Ensure formal closure of qualification, change, and validation activities
Skills: EIS : New Product Development (NPD) Methodology and Management~Production & Manufacturing / Quality
