Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking Travel Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week travel / contract position in Mattoon, IL.

Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) – Travel Contract | Night Shift

Sage Group Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for an exciting travel contract opportunity. If you have strong hospital experience and are looking for your next assignment, we'd love to hear from you!

Position Details:

  • Position: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
  • Employment Type: Travel Contract
  • Shift: Nights | 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent hospital Sterile Processing experience
  • Previous travel experience required
  • CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification required
  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic instrument trays and vendor sets
  • Experience operating:
    • BELIMED washer/disinfectors
    • Steam sterilizers
    • STERIS low-temperature sterilizers

Responsibilities:

  • Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment
  • Ensure proper handling and processing of orthopedic trays and vendor loaner sets
  • Maintain compliance with infection control and sterilization standards
  • Accurately document sterilization processes and quality assurance activities
