Join a nationally recognized healthcare facility in Boston as a Sterile Processing Technician. We are seeking a highly skilled professional with strong acute care experience and expertise in processing surgical instrumentation for orthopedic, cardiac, and neurosurgical procedures.

Schedule
  • AM - 8 hr
  • 40hr days, 7A to 330P, Sunday - Thursday with no rotation to other days unless it falls on the EOH requirement, weekend rotation once in an 8 week window,
  • No call

Please Note: No RTO (Requested Time Off) will be approved during the initial 13-week contract.

Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and sterilization standards.
  • Process and maintain instrumentation for orthopedic, cardiac, and neurosurgical services.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and maintain accurate sterilization records.
  • Collaborate with operating room staff and clinical teams to ensure instrument availability and readiness.
  • Adhere to all hospital, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of acute care Sterile Processing experience.
  • Recent travel healthcare experience required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in:
    • Orthopedic instrumentation
    • Cardiac instrumentation
    • Neurosurgical instrumentation
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current certification:
    • CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through IAHCSMM/HSPA OR
    • CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) through CBSPD.
  • Certification must remain active and maintained with all required CEUs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center.
  • Strong understanding of complex surgical instruments and sterilization processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
