Job Description
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Junior Contract Specialist to support the day-to-day administration and management of federal government contracts. The successful candidate will assist with contract execution, compliance, contract modifications, funding administration, reporting, and contract documentation throughout the contract lifecycle. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with Program Management, Finance, Human Resources, and executive leadership in a fast-paced government contracting environment.
Duties
  • Support the administration of federal government contracts throughout the contract lifecycle, including contract awards, modifications, funding actions, option periods, task orders, and contract closeout.
  • Maintain contract files, monitor periods of performance, funding, deliverables, reporting requirements, and contractual milestones to ensure compliance.
  • Manage contract administration activities using Unanet ERP, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint, including project setup, funding, reporting, document management, and record retention.
  • Prepare and process contract documentation, customer correspondence, modifications, and internal reports in support of contract administration activities.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers, Finance, Human Resources, subcontractors, and customers to support contract execution and ensure timely completion of contractual requirements.
  • Support contract compliance by reviewing contractual documents, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with audits and internal compliance reviews.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Government Contracting, Acquisition Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and professional contracting certifications.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience supporting federal government contract administration throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with Unanet ERP, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint, including contract administration, project setup, funding, reporting, and document management.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal contracting principles, with strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional contracting certification, such as FAC-C (Professional), DAWIA Contracting Certification, NCMA Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), NCMA Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or an equivalent federal acquisition certification.
  • Experience supporting GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS), IDIQ, BPA, or task order contracts.
  • Experience working in a federal government contracting environment.

Salary Range
Pay range information will be disclosed consistent with applicable state and local pay transparency laws once available. For this position, the anticipated salary range is $52,000 to $62,400 annually ($25.00-$30.00 per hour) and will be disclosed in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws.
