Job description

Advertised Position Title:
Applicant Pool, Workforce & Community Services (Non-Credit, Short-term Training)
Job Description:
Instructor will teach classes for Workforce Community Services. Instructor will represent the college in a professional manner while instructing WCS students. Depending on the class, instructor will be responsible for course content.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Will vary based on specific training needs. Prefer experience with open enrollment and/or contract training situations. Indicate availability of days, evenings. and/or weekends.

Essential Functions:
  • Candidate will instruct students in various topics such as computer software (MS Office Suite, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.), leadership, business skills (communication, writing, etc.) personal development (delegation, time management, positive attitude, etc.), personal enrichment classes, artful living, customer service, quality improvement, safety skills, etc. as well as specific certifications (ISO, DDI, AchieveGlobal) and customized curricula as required for contract and open enrollment training.

Other Characteristics:
  • Must be professional as person is representing the college. Be able to present well in front of an audience and engage students.

Minimum Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  • Person must be knowledgeable in area teaching. Must be professional and be able to present well in front of others. Must be organized and prepared when teaching.
