Job description

Our client, a leader in the high-tech industry, is seeking a Development Technician to join their team. As a Development Technician, you will be part of the Engineering Support Department supporting innovative projects and system development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Development Technician

Location: San Jose, CA

Contract on W2

What's the Job?

  • Assist in micro-electronics assembly, including wire bonding and component bonding using adhesives
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain a variety of electronics testing and electromechanical equipment
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and develop new electromechanical systems, including component selection and prototype testing
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical testing of components and assemblies to ensure quality and performance
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and testing procedures for system documentation

What's Needed?

  • Associate degree or higher in a relevant technical field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the high-tech industry, preferably in medical devices or related fields
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, including circuits, sensors, and control systems
  • Manual dexterity and experience using hand and power tools for assembly and repair
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
