Description
Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly Kimberly Clark (KC) production activities and troubleshooting required to maximize output and improve our overall communications. An opportunity for a detail oriented individual with a strong sense of urgency and a desire to grow within a high-paced organization.
Essential Functions:
  • Ensure clean, organized and safe working environment.
  • Responsible to achieve expected shift output for quality and rate on all KC cells.
  • Ensure hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly checklists and tasks are both completed and communicated.
  • Preserve KC performance by measuring and communicating press downtime with high urgency.
  • Give breaks to operators running KC cells.
  • Monitor scrap on cameras and conveyers to address or alert team to high scrap events.
  • Proper shift handoff including:
    • Captain to Captain handoff.
    • As needed: send communication to setup techs, engineers, engineering for appropriate issues.
    • Completed checklist to supervisor.
    • Clearly document any issues or concerns in the shift to shift communication
  • Strong communication and collaboration with engineering, operations and QA
  • Monitor press and automation cell status
    • Reset/restart of press or automation for alarms/issues as trained to complete.
  • Monitor flip cell activities in packaging room including: box erector and palletizing system.
    • Reset box erector within 6-9 minutes of box jam or backup to prevent flip cell shut down
    • Quickly communicate issues with palletizing robot to shift supervisor.
  • Monitor MiR robots ensuring they do not back up in the packaging room or shutdown on their assignments.
    • Capture photos of all MiR robot error messages and send to engineering.
    • Learn and execute SOP for MiR robot reset.
  • Help facilitate Setup Tech checklist communication:
    • First and last shot parts get to quality
    • Review checklist if supervisor is unavailable
  • Training of all new KC operators to a safe and efficient standard
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, Skills, and/or Experience Required:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High sense of urgency with excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Strong communication and real time decision making skills
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple internal departments at all levels of authority
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently balance competing priorities
  • Plastics manufacturing a plus but, not a requirement.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing-pulling, and reaching throughout the entire shift.
  • Manual dexterity or fine motor skills
