Job description

Travel/Contract Registered Nurse In The Operating Room

Travel/contract registered nurse in the operating room, based in Raleigh, North Carolina, for a 13-week assignment covering day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert nursing care to patients in the operating room, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams, physicians, and support staff to coordinate patient procedures and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Execute sterile techniques and infection control standards consistently during procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent operating room nursing experience.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including days and nights.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures.
