Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and teaching facility.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have at least 2-3 years experience if RRT, 3-5 years experience if CRT; okay with first-time travelers. - If covering NICU, must know how to do NAVA on Servo vents.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Previous employees may be considered only as a one-off exception with approval from St. Luke’s Health System. - Block scheduling requests may be accommodated as best they can, but are not guaranteed.

Unit Details: - 36-42 treatments per 12-hour shift, or 12-14 every 4 hours. - Covers adult floors, pediatrics, and NICU in an inpatient setting. - RTs assigned to pediatric floors also cover adults; RTs assigned to adult floors do not cover pediatrics. - Manages RT equipment, treatments, transport, and ABGs; does not perform EKGs. - Travelers assist with intubations rather than intubating independently. - Hospitalist and intensivist are in house 24/7. - Lead therapist on each shift covers ED, handles daily staffing, and acts as a resource; manager and supervisor are available during the day. - Travelers will not be the only RT in-house. - Uses Epic. - Equipment includes Draeger vents for adults, Servo U for pediatrics, V60 BiPAPs, Vapotherm high flow, Optiflow for NICU and PICU, Philips Cough Assist, ResMed home CPAP, HillRom Vest machines, and Hill-Rom MetaNeb.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Required to work if here during the holiday. - No call. - Overtime may be available.

Floating Requirements: - First to float. - May float to Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
