Committed to excellence and innovation, they are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team. ย  What you will be doing: ย  As the newย Electrical Engineer,ย you will report directly to the Project Manager and will work on the Construction Power Assessment SOW and support with a power assessment conceptual design study. Purpose of this conceptual study is to: * Investigate and estimate the temporary electrical supply demands within the Nuclear Plant during construction phase of the refurbishment project. * Evaluate and analyze various options to meet the construction electrical power demands with recommendation for temporary Electrical supply & distribution system during construction phase of refurbishment project. * The Nuclear Plantโ€™s in house construction requires temporary power supplies to support the refurbishment during construction phase. The temporary power supplies will need to coordinate with retube feeder and boiler replacement (RFBR), Balance of Plant (BOP) refurbishment load, house load, and the transfer of common services from Nuclear Plant A to Nuclear Plant B. * The intention of this Conceptual Study is not to limit or eliminate options based on cost, nor to minimize modifications. The intention is to present all reasonable design alternatives. * Note, Nuclear Plant A will be transferring common service load to Nuclear Plant B. Therefore, the Contractor must take into consideration all common loads (i.e., Boilers, Campus Planning, Pumphouse, etc.) and their corresponding documentation (i.e., Reports, Studies, etc.). ย ย  The details: ย  This is a contract Electrical Engineer position based in Pickering, Ontario, requiring office presence with the flexible work hours and an option of hybrid work schedule. The client offers a competitive hourly pay and a flexible hybrid work schedule. Additionally, you'll enjoy the opportunity to work in a casual and friendly environment. ย  What you will bring: ย  * 5-10 years of electrical engineering experience required with Ontario Power Generation (OPG)โ€“ preferably the OPG Pickering station. * Experience with use of industry codes and standards. Knowledge of Canadian Electrical codes and IEEE standards would be beneficial. * Knowledge of OPGโ€™s ECC Process (Engineering Change Control) and OPG Design Engineer Qualification would be an asset. * Strong written and verbal communication skills and must be comfortable leading meetings and giving presentations. * Experience and ability as a team player to understand and manage the interrelationships of various internal and external groups to facilitate objectives and ensure projects satisfy stakeholder requirements. * Familiar with safety standards and regulations and able to ensure that their designs comply with all electrical codes and regulations. * Strong in understanding, executing and following governance and procedures with a questioning and analytical attitude/approach under minimum required supervision. * Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a flexible hybrid office environment. ย  Looking for meaningful work?
