Job description

Primary Purpose

Work in a hatchery setting performing assigned job duties to include set, sanitation, processing and Embrex operations. Follow all established safety and operational standard operating procedures (SOPs) to achieve goals on hatch, hatch of fertile (HOF), early mortality and budgets.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Wash and disinfect incubation equipment, floors, hallways and ventilation equipment.
  2. Work in processing areas to prepare chicks for transport to contract poultry farms.
  3. Ensure proper vaccination of chicks via Embrex transfer process.
  4. Perform assigned job duties to follow established sanitation programs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of all safety training, lockout-tagout and pallet jack certification.
  • Continuous standing, walking, twisting, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. Works in a hatchery environment.
