Responsibilities
- Collect, wash, and incubate eggs until hatching.
- Feed and care for poultry flocks, ensuring their health and well-being.
- Select animals for breeding as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of poultry houses.
- Promptly alert appropriate personnel in case of issues such as sick animals, feed problems, or equipment failures.
- Collect and enter data using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Tag and vaccinate birds according to veterinarian protocols.
- Assist the Pedigree Farm Manager with external research trials, including weighing and CT scanning.
- Respond to farm emergencies as needed.
- Follow all biosecurity measures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards, procedures, and regulations.
- Report any animal welfare concerns to management immediately.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a poultry or agricultural environment is a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Certified Poultry Technician (CPT) License preferred.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed.
- Ability to use hands for simple and firm grasping.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds alone and up to 80 pounds with assistance.
- Comfortable working in environments with odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, ammonia, and occasional loud noise

Shift: M-F 6a-2:30p 4+ hour shift rotating weekends (varies per farm demand)
