About us

Laughing Child Farm is a small business in Pawlet, VT. We are fast-paced, challenging, innovative and our goal is to grow the best sweet potatoes using organic and sustainable methods. We are the largest sweet potato farm in Vermont and we are committed to our employees and our customers.

Our work environment includes:

Transportation is one of the biggest challenges facing our organization. We are looking for an experienced and professional driver. The right candidate will have some experience operating a large vehicle (16 foot box truck, delivery van), a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and works well under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sweet potatoes throughout Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
  • Drive a vehicle.
  • Be in good physical shape.
  • Represent our farm to our customers.
  • When not delivering, help in the packing barn or in the fields/farm as needed.

Here is the catch:

Work schedule typically is this:

Monday 7:30 am-3 pm

Tuesday 7:30 am- 4 pm

Wednesday 4:30 am - 3pm

Thursday 4:30 am - 6:30 pm (not this late every week, but some weeks)

Off Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
