Kubernetes Platform Engineer

The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you're eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client's needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients' toughest challenges.
As a senior platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you'll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client's environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you'll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.

You'll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you'll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms. This position is located in Chantilly, VA.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or systems engineering within classified environments

• 5+ years of experience with AWS, including IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB/ALB/NLB, and CloudWatch

• 5+ years of experience with cloud environments, programming languages, and supporting CI/CD

• Experience operating production Kubernetes clusters

• Experiencewith Linuxbased systems such as RedHat or CentOS and scripting languages such as Python or Bash

• Experience creating technical documentation, system diagrams, and SOPs

• Knowledgeof Kubernetes networking, container registry management, and imagehardening approaches

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• HS diploma or GED and 9+ years of experience in DevSecOps or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with using AI tools for development

• Experience supporting Intelligence Community mission partners

• Experience operating AWS EKS

• Knowledge ofcloudnative tooling or vulnerabilityanalysis concepts

• Knowledge of modernization frameworks used across mission programs

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
