Job description

Head of AI Industry Solutions Sales (Pharma & Clinical Operations)

Location:  New York/New Jersey, US; ~40% Travel required

Position Type:  Full-Time Executive

About the Role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, high-energy Head of AI Industry Solutions Sales  to drive revenue growth for our cutting-edge, AI-native platform designed specifically for Clinical Trials and Operations. In this key growth role, you will be responsible for building our market presence from the ground up, selling directly to R&D and Clinical Operations leaders across small and medium-sized pharma and biotech organizations.

You will own the end-to-end sales cycle; from prospecting and pipeline generation to strategic solution pitching and contract closing. Working closely with our AI Center of Excellence (CoE) and CTO, you will translate market feedback into product innovation, forge strategic industry partnerships, and build a high-growth, sustainable revenue engine.

Key Responsibilities

ยท Revenue Generation & Pipeline Execution:  Drive full-lifecycle sales to achieve a $1M ARR target in the first twelve months  while building a robust, qualified pipeline for multi-million-dollar growth in Year 2 and beyond.

ยท Target Account Prospecting:  Identify, engage, and close deals with decision-makers (VPs, Heads of R&D, Clinical Ops, Digital Transformation) within SMB pharma and biotech accounts.

ยท Strategic Solution Selling:  Articulate the complex value proposition of an AI-native solution to solve key bottlenecks in clinical development, patient recruitment, trial monitoring, and regulatory/ops workflows.

ยท CoE & Engineering Collaboration:  Partner directly with the CTO and AI CoE Lead to customize client demos, align product roadmaps with customer demands, and bring actionable feedback back to the build team.

ยท Ecosystem & Strategic Partnerships:  Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships (CROs, niche tech vendors, channel partners) to expand market reach and accelerate deal flow.

ยท Account Relationship Management:  Build deep, trust-based relationships with client executives to ensure long-term satisfaction, account expansion, and ongoing renewal retention.

Qualifications & Experience

ยท Pharma & Clinical Ops Domain Expertise:  Deep knowledge of the clinical trial lifecycle, R&D operational workflows, regulatory environment, and industry pain points.

ยท Track Record in Tech/AI Sales:  Proven success selling SaaS, enterprise platforms, or advanced AI technology solutions to small and mid-market pharma/biotech firms.

ยท Proven Deal Closer:  Strong history of hunting, managing complex consultative sales cycles, negotiating, and closing enterprise-level deals.

ยท Technical Acumen:  Ability to hold high-level technical discussions with tech executives and work fluidly alongside AI researchers and product engineers.

Core Competencies & Mindset

ยท Entrepreneurial & Self-Driven:  Thrives in an agile environment, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and willing to roll up your sleeves to create opportunities from scratch.

ยท Insanely Curious & Adaptive:  Fast learner with a passion for emerging technology, eager to continuously learn and unlearn in the fast-evolving AI landscape.

ยท High-Impact Collaborator:  Exceptional interpersonal skills; known for being easy to work with, highly articulate, and a unifier between client needs and internal tech teams.

ยท Resilient Under Pressure:  Strong work ethic with the agility to manage tight deadlines and high-stakes pitch environments without sacrificing quality.

What We Offer

ยท Competitive base salary with an aggressive commission/incentive structure linked to Year 1 target achievements.

ยท Opportunity to lead sales for a high-impact, AI-native product transforming the clinical trial space.

ยท Direct influence on product strategy, company direction, and executive leadership collaboration.
