Contract OSINT professionals are specialists hired on a contract basis to gather, analyze, and report on information from publicly available sources, also known as Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). They support organizations by collecting data from the internet, social media, public databases, and other open channels to provide actionable intelligence. These professionals are often used in cybersecurity, law enforcement, journalism, and corporate security to help identify risks, track trends, or support investigations. Unlike permanent employees, contract OSINT professionals typically work on specific projects or for limited timeframes, providing flexibility and specialized expertise.
