Job description

All-Clad, a leader in superior cookware for home cooks and professional chefs, is hiring full-time FULLY SKILLED MILLWRIGHT/MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN at our metal manufacturing plant in Canonsburg PA. We have been in the same location for OVER 50 YEARS.
All-Clad MetalCrafters LLC is seeking a Fully-Skilled Millwright for our Maintenance department in order to perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs to plant equipment used in the manufacturing of high-quality cookware and to ensure that plant equipment operates efficiently and safely.
The Maintenance Technician will ensure that work is in accordance with state/local codes, complies with all safety regulations, company policies and follows all Lock Out/Tag Out procedures. This position works in conjunction with others to maintain the robotic and automated production equipment across the organization to include any related pneumatic, mechanical and electrical equipment.
Essential Functions
Specific duties of the Millwright include (but are not limited to) the following:
  • Capable/knowledgeable in using all tools and instruments used for Plant Maintenance in a safe manner.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Capable of performing mechanical and electrical repairs per diagnosed deficiencies.
  • Full working knowledge of Mechanical print reading/revision.
  • Ability to interpret drawings for hydraulics, pneumatics, tool/equipment design, and electrical systems.
  • Capable of basic fabrication techniques/projects.
  • Capable of working with/troubleshooting all hydraulic, pneumatic, and other mechanical systems.
  • Inspect mechanical systems, equipment or components to identify hazards, defects or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with all State/Local codes.
  • Able to construct rigging (chains, straps, chockers, etc.) and move equipment in a precise, safe and orderly manner as directed by management.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • H.S. Diploma and/or GED required
  • Must have experience in the Mechanical field, which would include (but is not limited to): working with hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems; use of testing instrumentation and tools for diagnosing malfunctioning systems; mechanical print reading/drawings; as well as mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and processes. This experience and knowledge MUST be listed on the applicant's resume in order to be considered
  • Upon consideration based on resume, applicant will be notified via email about scheduling Entrance exam (knowledge test) which will be administered onsite; if earning a passing score, applicant will be notified via email about scheduling an in-person interview
  • All qualified candidates will be required to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
  • Must complete educational program as per union contract
  • Visual Color Discrimination--the ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
  • Must be able to work swing shift (alternating weeks of days and evenings) and/or steady midnight shift, typically 8-12 hours per day
  • Must be able to work extended daily overtime and/or weekends required as needed

Working Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to move freely through the manufacturing facility and between buildings.
  • Must be able to stand 100% of the shift and be capable of performing job functions.
  • The employee is required to wear mandatory PPE and follow documented safety guidelines while performing the duties of this job, as they will be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, sharp objects and industrial chemicals used in the manufacturing of metal products.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to high noise and dusty environments.

Salary: $38.24 - $41.68 per hour (contingent upon proof of certifications or passing grade of Ramsay test for Millwright/Mechanical Tech)
