Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Millwright / Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Pay & Benefits:
  • Salary: $70,000 per year
  • Direct Hire Opportunity (not contract-to-hire)
  • Comprehensive benefits after 90 days: Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k)
  • Company-paid travel for occasional project support

Hours & Location:
  • North Canton, OH
  • 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Dress code: Jeans, T-shirt, and steel-toe boots (safety glasses provided in the plant)

This is a hands-on Maintenance Millwright / Industrial Maintenance Mechanic role supporting a well-maintained manufacturing facility with custom-built equipment. The environment is a true blue-collar industrial shop where experienced maintenance professionals troubleshoot problems, fabricate solutions, and keep production running smoothly. You'll work closely with leadership while maintaining a high level of independence in diagnosing and repairing equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair industrial plant equipment and machinery
  • Diagnose electro-mechanical issues including motors, controls, and mechanical systems
  • Troubleshoot and maintain equipment with pneumatic operations and controllers
  • Repair machinery used for operations such as bending, punch press, crimping, welding, and marking
  • Fabricate replacement components using the in-house machine shop
  • Maintain supporting systems including ink printers, degreasing equipment, and testing devices
  • Travel 4-5 weeks per year internationally to support repairs at a secondary facility (company-paid travel)

Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience combining mechanical and electrical work
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with motors, controls, and plant equipment (up to 480v)
  • Experience with PLCs or industrial control systems is helpful (Omron controllers)
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems without step-by-step manuals
  • Comfortable fabricating or modifying components when needed
