Industrial Services Project Manager

Location: Twin Cities Metro Area
Industry: Industrial Mechanical Construction

About the Opportunity

A growing industrial services contractor is seeking an experienced Industrial Services Project Manager to lead customer relationships, estimate projects, and manage industrial mechanical work from concept through completion. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with industrial clients while overseeing piping, HVAC, plumbing, and millwright projects.

The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder with experience managing mechanical construction projects, estimating work, and driving projects to successful completion while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing industrial customers while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Estimate and manage industrial mechanical projects from award through closeout.
  • Create and manage project budgets, labor plans, equipment needs, material procurement, and subcontractor activities.
  • Review contracts and ensure project compliance with quality, safety, and company standards.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate material and equipment purchases.
  • Create and maintain project schedules and workforce plans.
  • Work closely with owners, plant personnel, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Forecast project costs, track profitability, and manage financial performance.
  • Deliver quality closeout documentation and maintain customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Millwright field leadership and/or project management experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience within the mechanical construction industry.
  • Experience managing industrial piping, HVAC, mechanical, or millwright projects.
  • Strong estimating and project management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local project sites.
Preferred Experience
  • Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management degree.
  • Prior field experience in industrial construction.
  • Experience with pipe estimating.
  • Millwright background.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, processing, power generation, food production, or other industrial environments.
