Position Overview: We are seeking a DISTRICT SALES MANAGER located in the Charlotte or Raleigh, NC area to highlight their technical sales talents within NC and VA. This position reports to the East / South Regional Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Metrology Equipment, is self-directed, has a resourceful spirit, and the focus required to deepen market share within the assigned region.
Responsibilities:
  • Territory Management: Develop and execute sales plans for the assigned district, identify current key accounts while placing a strong emphasis on cultivating new customers within existing and emerging market segments.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers to understand their needs and offer the appropriate tailored solutions. Daily auto travel (up to 80% of the time, with occasional overnight travel) within the district territory.
  • Channel Partners: Support and educate the distribution network with ongoing technical assistance, quotes, new product updates, demonstrations, and promotions, to ensure they are prepared to successfully promote the Mahr brand.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay in tune with industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments to effectively position Mahr metrology equipment in the market.
  • Forecasting: Daily utilization of Salesforceยฎ CRM, create opportunities, events, tasks for all activities related to engagement and management of the district.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer support, and product development, to ensure a cohesive and customer-centric outcome.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors' degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 + years of proven outside sales experience within dimensional metrology or closely related industry (outside sales experience of industrial capital equipment will also be considered).
  • Leadership skills to support distribution channels and representative personnel is preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and selling skills, along with the ability to create and develop lasting relationships with both customers and colleagues.
  • High level of self-motivation with the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Based from your home office, must be able and willing to travel up to 80% of the time, within the assigned district.
