Job description

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an experienced, passionate educator to join our team as a Math Curriculum Designer. In this role, you'll lend your specialized knowledge and expertise in K-12 math education to help the curriculum design team craft exceptional learning experiences for middle and high school students. Your strong writing skills, creative problem solving, educational insights, and commitment to quality will make personalized learning a reality for millions of students.
This position requires you to be in our Raleigh, NC, area office.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Design clear, engaging, interactive math questions to meet specified educational objectives for kindergarten through calculus, with a focus on 6-12
  • Write helpful, age-appropriate, sound explanations of math concepts
  • Collaborate with visual designers, other curriculum designers, and company leaders to determine appropriate curricular strategies
  • Research and review IXL's alignment to educational standards, common assessments, and popular textbooks
  • Develop and manage project plans to create and deliver high-quality math content
  • Ensure all project milestones are achieved within set deadlines
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in a math or related field required - advanced degree preferred
  • High school or collegiate math teaching experience, including precalculus, calculus, or statistics
  • Excellent writing ability
  • Experience in curriculum development preferred
  • Growth mindset with an openness to feedback and others' ideas
  • Highly self-motivated and efficient with superb attention to detail
