Position Description
As a Marketing Coordinator at Thompson Turner Construction, you will be an essential member of our team, supporting all aspects of the marketing team. This role is critical to the preparation of qualifications, proposals, and presentations for complex commercial construction projects, while also providing day-to-day administrative support to marketing and business development leaders. The ideal candidate is proactive, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, pursuit-focused environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Marketing Graphics and Proposal Support:
- Coordinate, format, and assemble RFQs, RFPs, and interview materials for CM pursuits.
- Manager creation and refinement of proposal narratives, resumes, project sheets, schedules, and fee exhibits in collaboration with technical and project teams.
- Maintain and update marketing content, including project descriptions, team resumes, safety information, and experience matrices.
- Ensure proposal compliance with client requirements, submission instructions, and deadlines.
- Support preparation of pursuit schedules, win themes, and interview presentations.
- Support internal reviews, edits, and final production of proposal deliverables.
- Administrative and Operational Support:
- Support and coordinate meetings, events, community outreach, documentation workflows, social media and key communications (Overnight travel as needed).
- Monitor and track pursuits, marketing deadlines, and deliverables using internal tools and systems.
- Organize and maintain digital filing systems for proposals, contracts, and marketing assets.
- Coordinate onboarding documentation, internal reporting, and general office coordination as needed to support division efficiency.
- Facilitate coordination with external partners, consultants, and trade partners during pursuits.
- Brand and Quality Control:
- Ensure all materials align with Thompson Turner branding, messaging, and quality standards.
- Proofread and edit documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Maintain version control and document integrity across multiple concurrent pursuits.
Job Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in a marketing, proposal, or administrative support role, preferably within construction, engineering, or professional services.
- Experience supporting RFP/RFQ responses or proposal production is strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign or similar layout tools is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, or large-scale commercial construction pursuits preferred.
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple team members.
- Professional demeanor and ability to interface with clients and senior leadership.
- Adaptability and willingness to take on varied responsibilities as needs evolve.
