What You'll Do: The HR & Safety Manager will lead the day-to-day and strategic functions of HR and workplace safety for a fast-growing contract manufacturing operation. This role owns talent acquisition, onboarding, policies and employee relations, compensation, benefits and leave administration, HRIS and data integrity, compliance, culture and engagement, and OSHA/safety programs-building scalable people and safety systems that enable operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a safe, accountable work environment. Your Top Accountabilities In The Role: Partners with Leadership to understand and execute the Company's HR & People Strategy.Manages, plans, and executes on all employee life cycle programs and processes, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.Maintains and updates employee education materials, including the Employee Handbook, for clear and accurate expectations and compliance. Manages the Benefit, Payroll and Performance Management systems and processes, ensuring effectiveness and business goal attainment.Manages and performs the talent acquisition strategy and processes to recruit and retain the best talent. Reviews, develops, and executes the training regarding HR compliance policies, practices, and systems to ensure understanding and effectiveness. Serves as the company Safety Manager and leads workplace safety programs, including safety policies, training, inspections, audits, incident reporting, hazard correction, and OSHA recordkeeping to ensure compliance. Leads safety committee meetings, maintain training records and safety documentation, supports regulatory inspections, and promotes employee participation in safety initiatives to ensure a safe workplace.Serves as an advocate to promoting Employee success, as well as accomplishing Company goals.Stays current on labor laws and regulations for HR and Safety; develops and implements improvement plans to maintain compliance.  Position Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Safety Management, or related field is strongly preferred. Evidence of coursework towards the completion of a degree will be considered.Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR experience, manufacturing, packaging, or contract manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP preferred but not required. OSHA certificates preferred but not required. Functional Skills: Solid planning, prioritization, organization, and execution skills required. Knowledgeable on all of the various areas of HR, Safety, Recruiting, and Payroll. Strong attention to detail and follow through to ensure smooth rollout of systems and processes. Solid math aptitude and problem-solving/conflict management abilities; ability to be an advocate for employees while driving business goals. Technology Skills: Strong Paylocity Payroll system exp.; Solid experience with Microsoft Office.Language Skills: Advanced verbal and written skillset; able to communicate, mediate, and train others effectively. Ability to speak Spanish would be a plus!Leadership/Behaviors: Demonstrates a high customer-service and support personality who has a strength in educating others towards best practices and creating enhanced solutions targeted towards business goals; professional, forward thinking, with the ability to be discrete with confidential information, who is able to be collaborative and resourceful; is self-directed and high in integrity, who can work well within a broad set of guidelines.
