Job description

Purpose

The Contract Manager negotiates contract terms that support Clinisysโ€™ business objectives while minimizing legal, financial, and operational risks. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Legal, and Technical resources to manage the end-to-end contracting process. The Contract Manager also uses contract lifecycle management tools, AI-enabled contract management capabilities, and data-driven workflows to improve contract quality, consistency, efficiency, and risk visibility.

Essential Functions:

  • Review and negotiate a range of agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, support, business associate agreements, data protection agreements, professional services agreements, consulting agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and data security agreements.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.

  • Communicate contract and legal terms to Clinisys leadership and other functional areas.

  • Document non-standard terms and risk profiles using Clinisysโ€™ CLM and CRM tools.

  • Use AI-enabled contract management tools to support contract review, clause analysis, risk identification, workflow tracking, reporting, and contract data quality.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including contract process standardization, template refinement, contract automation opportunities, and adoption of AI-enabled contracting workflows.

  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience & Education:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business administration, law, legal studies, political science, procurement, finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 yearsโ€™ demonstrated contract management experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Zoom, Teams, CRM tools, and contract lifecycle management platforms.

  • Experience with, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn, AI-enabled contract management or automation tools that support contract review, workflow efficiency, reporting, and risk identification.

Preferred Experience & Education:

  • Masterโ€™s degree, law degree, certification in contract management, procurement, business operations, or equivalent advanced training.

  • Familiarity with privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, healthcare compliance, or procurement requirements applicable to commercial technology contracts.

  • Experience supporting healthcare, laboratory, diagnostics, public sector, or government contracting environments.

  • Hands-on experience with CLM platforms, NetSuite, DocuSign, document automation tools, or AI-enabled contract review technologies.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Up to 25% travel may be required

  • Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs.; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours

  • Exposure to hazardous materials or various weather conditions

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is generally within the range of $80,000 - $100,000 for annual base salary. The successful candidateโ€™s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
