Job description

The month-end close is one of the most expensive, error-prone rituals in mid-market finance. Controllers spend weeks reconciling sub-ledgers, chasing approvals, posting manual adjusting entries, and rebuilding reports that should already exist. The ledger is never truly current - and the cost of that gap compounds across every decision made with stale data.

Intuit is building the agentic close engine that ends that cycle. The vision is a continuous, real-time financial close where AI agents reconcile transactions as they occur, compliance is maintained without manual intervention, and the Controller's role shifts from data processor to strategic reviewer.

As Staff Product Manager for Mid-Market Continuous Close, you will define and deliver that engine - and move mid-market finance from reactive to autonomous.

Responsibilities

Define the strategy and roadmap for Intuit's agentic month-end close engine - sequencing the bets that move mid-market finance from periodic reconciliation to continuous, audit-ready close.

Ship agentic workflows that reconcile sub-ledgers - AR, AP, Inventory - to the General Ledger in real time, with AI resolving the majority of discrepancies autonomously.

Build AI models that monitor contract performance and vendor spend to automatically calculate and post accruals and deferrals in compliance with GAAP and IFRS.

Deliver automated revenue recognition under ASC 606 and IFRS 15 - managing complex arrangements and deferred revenue schedules at mid-market scale.

Develop workflows that automate intercompany eliminations and consolidate data across complex business structures into a unified financial view.

Implement agentic financial controls - where AI agents audit transactions for policy violations and fraud in real time, maintaining SOX-ready oversight continuously rather than at period end.

Design the generative AI reporting layer - proactive exception handling, flux analysis, board-ready financial statements, and supporting schedules for external auditors generated without manual rebuild.

Drive alignment with executive stakeholders and engineering, design, sales, and finance to ensure the close engine integrates deeply into Intuit's core platform ecosystem.

Qualifications

8+ years in product management with deep expertise in enterprise ERP, financial close automation, or FinTech serving mid-market or enterprise finance teams.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; CPA, CMA, or advanced degree a plus.

Expert-level knowledge of the financial close process - sub-ledger reconciliation, accruals, intercompany eliminations, consolidations, and audit-readiness - and deep familiarity with ASC 606, US GAAP, and IFRS.

Proven ability to ship AI-native products in production - writing agentic specs with objectives, tool definitions, confidence thresholds, and escalation logic that make automation trustworthy at enterprise scale.

Track record building extensible financial systems that handle high-volume transaction sets, complex data schemas, and sophisticated organizational structures.

Ability to design how financial data flows through distributed systems - API architecture, data contracts, and the 'single source of truth' infrastructure that makes continuous close possible.

Demonstrated ability to translate complex customer needs into foundational product requirements - and to synthesize competitive intelligence and customer feedback into roadmap decisions that influence senior leaders.
