Job Description

This contract General Labor role supports operations in the tote bringing area at a large production site. You will handle a variety of physical tasks, with a strong focus on moving pipes and other irrigation equipment and regularly lifting up to 50 pounds. This position plays an important part in keeping production areas clean, organized, and running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Move pipes, hoses, and other irrigation equipment safely and efficiently throughout the tote bringing area.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis as part of daily tasks.
• Clean totes thoroughly to maintain sanitation and support production quality standards.
• Perform general labor and production support tasks as directed, including packing, sorting, and general production work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing regular cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Follow all safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
• Work effectively as part of a production team to meet daily operational goals.
• Adapt to changing tasks and priorities as needed to support overall production needs.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of production experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Proven ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Experience performing general labor tasks such as moving materials, packing, and sorting.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Reliability and strong work ethic with a focus on safety and teamwork.
• Comfort working in an environment where you will be exposed to outdoor elements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or sanitation in a production setting.
• Background in general production, packing, or sorting roles.
• Ability to stay organized and maintain a clean work area while handling multiple physical tasks.
• Willingness to take on a variety of duties and support different areas of production as needed.

Work Environment

You will work at a large maraschino cherry production site that includes both indoor and outdoor areas. The role involves frequent exposure to outdoor elements such as varying temperatures and weather conditions while moving pipes, hoses, and other irrigation equipment. The environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with regular lifting, carrying, and cleaning tasks. You should be prepared for active, hands-on work throughout the shift and comfortable working in a production setting where cleanliness, safety, and efficiency are priorities.

This is a Contract position based out of Dayton, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.80 - $16.80/hr.
