We are growing fast in New York and expanding to Florida, and we would love to welcome you to our community! We work tirelessly every day to ensure children have access to a fun, rigorous, whole-child education regardless of zip code or economic status. When you join SA, you play a part in giving every student who walks through our doors a fair shot at reaching his or her potential.
Role Overview:
As the fastest-growing, highest-performing charter school network in New York State, Success Academy has reimagined public education. Nationally recognized for achieving exceptional academic results for students from all backgrounds and zip codes, we have developed an innovative K-12 school model that prepares current and future generations of children with the subject mastery and skills necessary to succeed in college and life.
Success Academy's commitment to world-class schooling goes beyond delivering high-quality instruction. It requires the creation of schools that are beautiful, engaging, inspiring, and highly functional. With rapid growth, Success Academy seeks an entrepreneurial, resilient, and ambitious Specialist, Supply Chain to join our fast-paced, forward-thinking team.
Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the development of written policies and procedures to improve efficiency in the Supply Chain and ensure compliance throughout SA
  • Support the definition and tracking of KPIs and performance metrics to support continuous improvement
  • Support the demand planning and forecasting aligned to the school's needs/calendar
  • Work with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of large-scale projects
  • Assist in the development and management of sourcing and procurement strategies for each managed category and execute against them (RFPs, RFQs, contract drafting and negotiation, etc.), with a focus on total value (cost, service levels, quality, risk)
  • Develop the optimum inventory levels at the schools and create and establish a customized distribution model, inclusive of both centralized and decentralized procured products
  • Upgrade processes to best-in-class
  • Continually drive down the total cost of distributing and handling goods through process efficiency.
  • Manage inventory movement between locations, and track and identify materials across the entire network.

Qualifications
Our ideal Supply Chain Specialist combines strong supply chain judgment with an unmistakable record of excellence. This person is very smart, highly effective, and able to bring clarity, rigor, and pace to complex operational work. They have 4-6 years of experience in supply chain management, with meaningful sourcing and procurement experience, and strong distribution and fulfillment skills. A relevant undergraduate degree is required, and an advanced business degree and/or professional certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are valued.
The strongest candidates will demonstrate:
  • An excellence reflex, with consistently high standards, sharp attention to detail, and clear, concise communication.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability; can quickly diagnose issues, simplify complexity, and drive practical solutions.
  • Strong vendor relationship and communication skills
  • A track record of leading significant work and delivering extraordinary results, not just maintaining existing processes.
  • Sound judgment and strong ownership in fast-moving, ambiguous environments; able to move work forward independently and raise the bar for others.
  • Resilience, maturity, and openness to feedback; secure enough to adapt, improve, and stay effective under pressure.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset; willing to take smart risks, challenge outdated ways of working, and build better systems from the ground up.
  • Strong planning and operational discipline; able to design and manage inventory, distribution, and fulfillment processes with rigor.
  • The ability to influence and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including vendors, school-based teams, and network staff.
  • Comfort with systems and technology, including the ability to learn new tools quickly and use them to improve visibility, control, and execution.
  • Experience in or a solid understanding of Project Management.
