Job description

Position Summary - Electrical Project Manager 

The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing electrical construction projects to ensure they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations. This role requires strong leadership, electrical construction knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to work closely with field teams, customers, vendors, subcontractors, estimators, and company leadership.

Responsibilities - Electrical Project Manager

  • Manage electrical construction projects from kickoff through completion and closeout.
  • Review project plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, estimates, and scopes of work.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, vendors, and project resources.
  • Work closely with foremen, superintendents, and field crews to support safe, efficient project execution.
  • Track project budgets, labor hours, change orders, purchase orders, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with customers, general contractors, engineers, inspectors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Identify project risks, scheduling conflicts, material needs, and cost impacts early.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, progress reports, meeting notes, and closeout documents.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, company standards, and customer expectations.
  • Support estimating, pre-construction planning, value engineering, and design-build coordination as needed.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication, responsiveness, and follow-through.
  • Promote companies commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications - Electrical Project Manager

  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical construction experience required.
  • Prior experience as an Electrical Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Foreman, Superintendent, or similar role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and/or industrial electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and procurement.
  • Knowledge of NEC standards and general electrical construction practices.
  • Strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with project management or estimating software is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to travel for projects as needed.
