Position: Mainframe Developer
Location: Onsite. Dearborn, MI. Only considering local candidates
Contract (C2C/W2)

*Need the Bachelors + Masters (if available) certificates for the profiles*
Job Description
10-15 years of experience in Mainframe development (IBM z/OS environment)
Strong expertise in:
  • COBOL (programming & enhancements)
  • JCL (batch processing and job scheduling)
  • CICS (online transaction processing)
  • DB2 (database design, SQL, performance tuning)
Responsibilities:
  • Experience with VSAM, IMS (optional but preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of batch processing, OLTP systems, and system integration [lamwork.com]
  • Hands-on experience with debugging tools (e.g., Abend-AID, Xpediter) and utilities
  • Experience with change management tools (Endevor, Changeman)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in Agile / Scrum delivery models
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with modernization initiatives (mainframe to cloud / APIs / microservices)
  • Exposure to integration technologies (MQ, REST/SOAP services)
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, IBM DBB)
  • Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M / CA7
