Desktop Support Technician
Location: Must reside within a commutable distance of Fort Meade, MD
Travel: Nationwide travel required
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required
Employment Type: 12-Month Contract with Potential for Extension
Remote Flexibility: Hybrid/Remote Flexibility Available When Not Traveling


Must have requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Minimum of 2 years experience
  • Ability to travel
  • Located within commuting distance of Fort Meade in Maryland (within 60 miles)

 
Position Overview
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for end users across multiple customer locations nationwide. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting desktop environments, deploying, and imaging workstations, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
 
Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier I/II desktop and help desk support for end users.
  • Deploy, image, re-image, configure, and maintain Windows-based desktop and laptop systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, peripheral, and connectivity issues.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, software applications, and security updates.
  • Respond to and resolve service tickets in accordance with established service levels.
  • Support user account administration activities, including password resets and access troubleshooting.
  • Perform desk-side, remote, and field support activities.
  • Maintain asset inventory and documentation for deployed equipment.
  • Coordinate with network, systems, and cybersecurity teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Travel to customer sites throughout the United States to support deployment, refresh, and migration projects.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while supporting users in enterprise environments.

 
Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support experience.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Fort Meade, Maryland.
  • Experience deploying, imaging, and troubleshooting Windows desktop and laptop systems.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and common enterprise applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations throughout the United States.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.
