Job Summary
    Job Summary Ensure adherence to contractual obligations between the Company and contractors; incumbents are assigned to a specific discipline or area(s) of operations. Liaison between the company, contractors or contract workforce, Resource Integrator and/or process owners. Resolves Company- contractor related problems. Span of control: 0; this is an individual contributor job

Key Accountabilities
  • Reviews & maintains a familiarity with the contracts between the Company & contractors for an assigned area/function.
  • Ensures time and performance reporting, evaluations, proper payment and contract closeout.
  • Provides support in the negotiation of contracts, ensuring that the Company enters into reasonable and beneficial terms with outside parties.
  • Reviews and resolves disputes between the Company and contractors, recommending resolutions consistent with the terms and conditions applicable to the specific contract (pricing, invoicing, scope of work, etc.).
  • Approves invoices submitted by contractors, ensuring their consistency with the terms and conditions of the applicable contracts; approvals are contingent upon the incumbent's policy or management determined authorization level(s).
  • May provide work direction to the Company's represented, non-represented, or contract labor force involved in construction, maintenance, emergency repair, and/or operation of Company assets within a given area of operations or discipline (e.g. power plants, wind farms, etc.); may schedule, coordinate, and ensure the completion of fieldwork and adherence to project schedules consistent with contractual requirements and Company expectations.
  • Generates contractor performance reports; recommends contract performance deviations to Corporate management as deemed appropriate by the incumbent.
  • May provide work crews with red tag safety protection if they aren't appropriately power plant certified protection leaders.
  • May monitor and update CWMS and related systems to ensure proper accountability and system data requirements.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • This is a dualtrack base requirement job; education & experience requirements can be satisfied through one of the following options:
    • High School or GED, & the knowledge & capabilities typically acquired through 3+ years of business unit-related experience (e.g wind turbine, fossil generation, electric substation or distribution operations, gas, etc) experience
    • Associate degree or Certificate from a duly accredited institution in the business unit-specific discipline, e.g, wind turbine technology, engineering technology, etc; no experience required.

Other Requirements
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office and applicable work management software applications sufficient to apply them with minimal instruction or guidance.
  • May be required to:work outdoors in inclement weather, climb stairs/ladders without assistance, and work at substantial heights (may exceed 250 feet), or in hot, confined powerplant (or related) environments;Red Tag qualified (or secure certification within an established period subsequent to assuming the job);travel & report for work at different locations (incumbents are responsible for their own transportation);successfully pass initial and/or periodic drug or fitness for duty testing.
  • Communicates effectively (verbally & in writing) with individuals at all levels, inside and outside the Corporation.
  • Analytical & problemsolving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions for various situations.
  • Broad understanding of power generation, transmission, distribution and regional power dispatch issues.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data & develop optimal recommendations & solutions.
  • Flexibility & the ability to work with shifting priorities; embrace new/evolving responsibilities.
  • Balances multiple demands from superiors, and/or subordinates & peers in a positive and evenhanded fashion; display a calm demeanor under pressure.
  • Initiates new ideas and approaches; challenges prevailing practices & approaches with reasonably sound alternatives.
  • Well-developed organization and planning skills (typically acquired through at least 3 years of experience).
  • Competent in multitasking (i.e the ability to prioritize & manage multiple tasks, issues or projects that may include high-visibility initiatives and require innovation, teamwork & planning).
