Job description

The Strategic Account Analyst is an essential partner specializing in strategic accounts through proactive contract review, pricing and bid health analysis, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system administration, and data-driven reporting. This role serves as a central liaison between Strategic Account Managers (SAMs), Contracts, Pricing, and key stakeholders to ensure contract renewals, pricing strategies, rebate programs, and system data are accurate, timely, and aligned with revenue and margin objectives. This position plays a critical role in managing expiring contracts, making and guiding pricing decisions, maintaining CLM system integrity, and rolling out insights and recommendations across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Contract Review, CLM Administration & Strategic Account Analysis

  • Review 90–120 day expiring contracts for specialty and strategic accounts to identify renewal risks, pricing gaps, and required actions by Strategic Account Managers.
  • Leads administrative efforts within the CLM system, including contract data entry, document uploads, metadata maintenance, version control, and workflow coordination.
  • Ensure contract records accurately reflect pricing, rebates, customer-specific provisions, amendments, and renewal dates.
  • Monitor CLM workflows for review, approval, execution, and renewal milestones.
  • Lead contract amendments, renewals, and extensions by updating CLM records and coordinating required documentation.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) throughout the contract review and renewal process.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Contracts, SAMs, Pricing, and stakeholders, including Pricing Analyst and Fleet Management team, to ensure alignment and execution.

Pricing & Bid Health Analysis

  • Maintain and manage pricing and revenue analysis spreadsheets, including pricing vs. revenue volume comparisons.
  • Partner with the Pricing Analyst to lead contract pricing analysis and bid health reviews.
  • Administer pricing-related communications and ensure approved pricing changes are documented and reflected in contract records and CLM data.
  • Lead and oversee pricing adjustments and rollout strategies based on analytical findings.

Reporting, Data Integrity & Analytics

Develop, manage, and distribute reports as needed, including:

  • Special account needs (e.g., customer-specific rental structures such as Clean Harbors on rent).
  • Spend and product line performance analysis.
  • Quarterly reports, including creation and maintenance of standardized templates.
  • Strategic Account Management performance metrics and contract activity tracking.
  • Run standard and ad-hoc reports from the CLM system, pricing tools, and spreadsheets.
  • Reconcile and validate data across systems to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Provide contract, pricing, and performance data for RfR Connect and other internal platforms.

Stakeholder Coordination & Rollouts

  • Schedule and facilitate meetings with internal stakeholders to review findings, validate assumptions, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare and deliver rollout presentations communicating contract, pricing, and performance insights.
  • Oversee adoption of CLM processes by reinforcing documentation standards, timelines, and data accuracy expectations across SAMs and stakeholders.

Internal & External Rollout Presentation

  • Work with Strategic Account Managers & Marketing on Rain for Rent capability presentations for scheduled Lunch & Learns.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Account team, VP Sales, and Marketing on internal MSA Rollout presentations.  This will include research on what type of business the customer does nationwide and the solutions we can offer through RFR’s Products and Services.

Rebate & Accrual Management

  • Manage customer rebate programs, including spend tracking and accrual processes.
  • Review rebate accruals monthly and reconcile balances at yearend (EOY).
  • Ensure rebate terms and financial data are accurately documented by contract records.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of the operation

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Operations, Analytics, or a related field is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in contract administration, pricing analysis, strategic accounts, or business operations is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience administering a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, pricing models, and regulatory requirements related to water transfer services.
  • Proficiency in using financial and analytical tools to develop complex spreadsheets, data visualization software, and pricing management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically to identify areas for improvement and propose effective solutions.

Travel:

Minimal overnight travel is occasionally required (up to 15%).
