Procurement Project Manager

Your future role

You will be in support of end of contract activities, regarding the projects under LRV. The purpose of this position is also to manage the overall procurement goals and objectives in regard to quality, on time delivery, cost and customer requirements.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing and coordinating change requests and associated activities with all project stakeholders; Buyers, Commodity Managers, Finance Controller, Engineering, etc.
  • Reviewing purchase requisitions and ensuring purchase orders are placed on time
  • Analyzing and compiling data for Canadian Content requirements
  • Applying and supporting Alstom sourcing rules, processes, and tools
  • Presenting data analysis to project teams and auditors, as needed
  • Providing support to project controllers on financial topics and preparing presentations
  • Tracking procurement performance in projects and issuing action plans for deviations
  • Reviewing and managing supplier QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) performance with buyers and commodity managers
  • Support and advise the leadership team based on the development of the project  
  • Any other related duties

Mandatory :

  • Master’s degree in business, finance, engineering or another relevant field.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in:
    • Procurement.
    • Railroad business.
    • Rolling Stock products. 
    • SAP, MS Office tools, ARIBA or any relevant tool
    • Contract negotiation with suppliers.

Good to have :

  • Experience in Project Development Phase
  • Strong knowledge with procurement processes and tools
