Mission

I am looking for an accountant for one of my clients located in Pointe-Claire, working in the automotive dealership industry, for a 35-hour-per-week position.
Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records related to the sale and financing of new and pre-owned vehicles.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Reviewing, entering, and reconciling vehicle sales and financing contracts.
Working closely with the sales, finance, and service departments to ensure proper accounting treatment and data accuracy.
Performing daily deposit entries and verifying bank transactions.
Validating and correcting various accounting schedules to maintain consistency and reliability.
Monitoring and reconciling vehicle inventories (new and used).
Calculating and balancing sales commissions.
Supporting the Controller with accounting reports and month-end processes.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting and administrative procedures.

Your profile

Qualifications :
Experience in accounting within a car dealership (required).
Strong understanding of the vehicle sales and financing process.
College diploma or university degree in Accounting or Finance.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting or dealership software (Serti or Reynolds is an asset).
Bilingual (French and English) - strong written and spoken French; intermediate English for reading documents and communicating with certain suppliers.
Team-oriented, autonomous, and proactive attitude.
