Job description

Duties:

  • Medical coding in an acute care setting
  • omust possess proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4, Encoder)
  • knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, federal billing guidelines
  • knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes
  • ability to research coding related issues
  • competence in coder training
  • must have CCS and knowledgeable with 3M/HDS coding application.

Skills:

  • Three years experience Knowledge of ICD10
  • Ideal candidate has minimum 4+ years of outpatient coding experience.
  • NEED SOMEONE WHO HAS ED CODING EXPERIENCE Work Arrangement:
  • Outpatient and ED experience. 
  • Must have EPIC and 3M experience
  • Seeking certified coders with strong Inpatient coding background. Candidate should be able to work with minimal training.

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED, AHIMA, RHIA or RHIT and/or CCP, CCS

Schedule Notes:

  • This role is remote now, with 1–2 weeks of onsite training at the start - The Hiring Manager is flexible.
  • 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
