Job Title: CNC MachinistJob Description

Join a fast-paced production environment as a CNC Machinist, where you set up, operate, and inspect parts on CNC equipment. This role suits someone who takes pride in accuracy, maintains a steady workflow, and consistently focuses on delivering high-quality machined parts.

Responsibilities
  • Set up CNC mills and lathes according to job specifications and work instructions.
  • Operate CNC machines to produce parts that meet dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Edit and adjust CNC programs as needed to optimize performance and maintain part accuracy.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to determine machining operations and tolerances.
  • Adjust machine offsets, tooling, and other settings to ensure consistent part quality and throughput.
  • Inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to verify dimensions.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make appropriate adjustments to resolve quality or performance problems.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient workflow in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Follow established safety procedures and quality standards while operating machinery.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues that may impact production or quality.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with CNC machining, including setup and operation of mills or lathes (open to entry-level candidates with under 2 years of CNC machining experience).
  • Ability to set up, operate, and edit CNC machine programs.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and detailed work instructions.

Work Environment

Clean manufacturing shop environment with CNC mills and lathes in a fast-paced production setting. The position follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You work on the shop floor around CNC machinery and precision measuring tools, following safety and quality procedures in a well-maintained facility.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
