Position Overview The Contracting Closeout Specialist will be responsible for the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of government contracts and subcontracts. This role ensures proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. The specialist will analyze estimates, review contractual documents, advise management, and recommend policy changes to enhance organizational procedures. Additionally, the specialist will support the Government Contracting Officers and contract specialists in various contracting actions, including requests for proposals, technical evaluations, contract negotiation, contract administration, and contract execution. Essential Job Function * Conducts the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of government contracts and subcontracts to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. * Analyze estimates of material, equipment and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. * Duties also include reviewing contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements. * Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. * Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization. * Interprets and administers policies, processes, and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate work units. * Performs final contract closeouts Minimum Qualifications * BA/BS in related field * 5 years of experience with government contracts, acquisition, fulfillment, policy, costs, and procedures * Expert in performing final Contract closeouts of assigned contracts, i.e. ensuring delivery/inspection/acceptance of contractual end items and ensures all administrative/reporting actions have been resolved before recommending closeout * TS with SCI eligibility COMPENSATION / SALARY RANGE: STI-TEC adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position.
