WHAT YOU'LL DO

Role:

CoolIT Systems, Inc. is looking for a high performing Warehouse Associate with 2-3 years experience to join our Calgary Distribution team.

The Warehouse Inventory Associate is to perform all warehouse operations tasks involved in the staging, storing, picking, distributing, receiving and shipping of material. They will report into the Warehouse Manager.

This role is a full-time contract and requires the employee to work on-site.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all tasks involved in staging, storing, picking, distributing, receiving and shipping of material.
  • Utilizing available computer and RF equipment to stage, store, pick, distribute, receive and ship material.
  • Recording accurate information into ERP/WMS systems.
  • Be able to pack, label, wrap, and load outbound shipments.
  • Participate and assist in organizational daily cycle counts and in the annual inventory practices.
  • Assist Production as needed.
  • Operate material handling equipment to move material through facility as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Continually clean up scrap, cardboard, and strapping-and discard in proper containers, or move into designated areas.
  • Complete hazard assessments and remove or reduce risk of injury when manual lifting is needed.
  • Use the equipment provided for lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, carrying, handling or transporting heavy or awkward loads.
  • Report near misses and complete incident reports when needed.
  • Takes initiative to look for and implement improvements to warehouse operations, helping to reduce or eliminate non value adding activities.

WHO YOU ARE

Basic Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years directly related to warehouse operations (inbound/outbound inventory transactions, staging, storing, picking, distributing, receiving and shipping) in a technology driven, product hardware manufacturing environment.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Physical demands exceed those of sedentary work with a moderate amount of walking, standing, moving, bending, and climbing stairs daily.

PreferredQualifications:

  • Education related to inventory control/supply chain management.
  • Oracle NetSuite ERP/WMS experience.
  • Experience in driving a forklift.

Skills:

  • Positive attitude, high energy, self-motivated individual who demonstrates flexibility and adaptability.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Must be a highly motivated, dependable/reliable, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet or exceed productivity standards and accuracy targets, while maintaining a high quality of work.
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks that may require light to moderately heavy lifting (up to 50lbs).
