Job description

Equation Staffing is currently seeking a reliable and highly organized Warehouse Organization & Inventory Assistant for a short-term project at a small e-commerce warehouse located just outside Calgary. The successful candidate will help reorganize an existing warehouse, improve product and bin locations, and ensure inventory information is accurately updated in Excel. 

Location: Foothills County, AB – just outside Calgary
Duration: Temporary project, approximately 1–2 weeks
Schedule: Weekdays
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities
  • Organize products and inventory into clearly defined shelving and storage areas.
  • Reorganize approximately 200–300 existing inventory bins for improved accessibility and efficiency.
  • Move and replace inventory bins as required.
  • Accurately update product and inventory locations within an existing Excel workbook.
  • Record information including supplier, item number, quantity, shelf/bin name and location.
  • Maintain clear walkways and an organized, clean workspace.
  • Work systematically through individual shelves, suppliers and inventory sections to maintain accuracy.
  • Identify and suggest practical improvements to the organization of the space while following established guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in warehouse organization, inventory control, receiving, put-away, stockrooms, merchandising or a similar environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable performing hands-on physical work and safely moving inventory and bins.
  • Basic and accurate Microsoft Excel skills, including searching spreadsheets and updating inventory information.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
  • Dependable, methodical and comfortable completing a defined short-term project.
  • Must have own transportation
