Job description

Space Vehicle Chief Architect, Lead

The Opportunity:

Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution.

As a systems engineer on our team, you'll have the chance to lead space vehicle systems engineering efforts. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with space vehicle systems engineering, planning, and integration

  • 10+ years of experience with systems architecture, requirements management and technical baseline management

  • 7+ years of experience with reviews of space systems, including SRR, SDR, SFR, PDR, CDR, TRR, FCA, SVR, MRR, or PCA, and the DoD acquisition system

  • 5+ years of experience with risk and opportunity management and articulating program risk posture

  • Ability to be highly motivated, have a dynamic work ethic, and contribute to the DoD mission

  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients and contractor teammates

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or CS

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with computer tools, including Confluence or Jira

  • Experience designing, building, and testing communications antennas, transmitters, or receivers of a payload

  • Experience with mission assurance in strategic or tactical MILCOM payload development

  • Knowledge of DoD systems engineering, testing, and production policies and practices

  • Ability to perform multiple systems engineering and program management functions in support of design reviews and requirements verification

  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
