The Shoes fashion team is looking for a talented, experienced, and entrepreneurial Senior Vendor Manager to foster Amazon's relationship with a number of the industry's most coveted Premium Brands. The right candidate stays on top of consumer and industry trends, and is able translate those trends into strategic actions that drive selection, top- line revenue, and profit growth. In addition, the Senior Vendor Manager must be an effective leader that can flex backbone and operate with a high degree of collaboration with Amazon.com external vendors, as well as with internal product groups such as forecasting, pricing, and marketing teams.
The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management. Proven analytical and data driven skills, project management, and ability to 'Think Big' are musts. The Senior Vendor Manager is a seasoned problem-solver with a keen sense of ownership and passion for innovating on behalf of our customers.
Key job responsibilities
• Successful individuals in this role will:
- Think of themselves as business owners, who cultivate a deep understanding of all major inputs that drive long term performance (selection, price, availability, forecasting, operational excellence, mix)
- Maximize Amazon's flywheel by focusing on selection expansion and cost saving opportunities
- Negotiate effectively with the industry's largest vendors: manage supplier contracts, annual vendor negotiation strategies, and day-to-day relationships
- Work with Product Managers to develop innovative ways of launching new features that improve the customer experience
- Develop a thorough understanding for the industry, macro trends, and future trajectory
- Deep dive complex data sets and make informed decisions to improve the customer experience
- Communicate effectively across all levels of leadership, both internally and externally
- Submit high quality work within tight deadlines

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the retail sector
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
