Description

Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide.
We are currently searching for Continuous Improvement Senior Manager to join our North America Team. This position can be based in any one of our US plants. This position will include 75% travel as required. 

What you will do:
  • Drive improvement actions based on the results of the safety audits
  • Participate in root cause analysis and process improvements following safety incidents
  • Participate in root cause analysis and process improvements related to quality concerns from customers
  • In conjunction with other departments, plan, support and lead kaizen focused events as required
  • Create the CI Roadmap on an annual basis for assigned locations
  • Update the CI roadmap with CI savings on a weekly basis (Support Month End financial close activities with all NA Plants)
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop monitoring systems to track progress of improvement initiatives (Auria Production System KPI’s)
  • Viable input when needed as each plant performs their monthly CI Steering Committee meetings.
  • Function as change agent to implement cost improvement activities
  • Coordinate and facilitate Kaizen events, by utilizing the event calendar on Auria Connect, hosting the event and following the established format for events
    • Complete all documentation, enter Kaizen case study documentation when needed.
  • Coordinate Fresh Eyes activities in all North American plants (9)
  • Responsible for organizing Continuous Improvement report outs within the region and assigned facilities
  • Follow the problem-solving process utilizing APS skills and Six Sigma analysis
  • Manage the production system audit and action documentation
  • Support other plant CI activities by traveling to participate in events or providing support as required
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
  • Ten (10) years as Continuous Improvement Manager preferably in a tier 1 supplier required
  • Previous experience supporting multiple locations preferred
 Travel Requirements:
  • 75% travel to North America Plants to support the CI activities
 Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
  • Proven success in driving cost savings, scrap reduction, and optimizing business processes.
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated experience using the Kaizen Methodology, 8Ds, 5 Whys and other problem methodology.
