Our team in Space & Defense is looking for a Continuous Improvement Leader to join them. You will report to the Value Stream Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, VA
To be considered for Continuous Improvement Leader you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience using continuous improvement tools with a Lean Six Sigma focus in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven ability to utilize statistical evaluation techniques, process capability analysis, and performance metrics to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

As a Continuous Improvement Leader, you'll be at the heart of driving organizational development and continuous improvement. Here are some key highlights of the role:
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and apply Lean Six Sigma principles to improve business and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate and facilitate improvement activities.
  • Convert strategic goals into actionable Lean Six Sigma plans.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities, execute plans, and achieve goals.
  • Train staff and lead/support Lean events and improvement projects.

Key Duties:
  • Develop and standardize continuous improvement tools, processes, and metrics.
  • Support teams in identifying and implementing area improvements.
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma activities with cross-functional groups.
  • Create and track annual improvement plans.
  • Optimize site operations (5S, material flow, Kanbans, etc.) to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Improve business processes across the organization.
  • Identify and solve problems to reduce costs.
  • Develop daily improvement systems and tools.
  • Train staff on Lean Six Sigma concepts.
  • Stay updated on continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma methods.
  • Travel to other facilities, customers, and suppliers (10% travel).

Note: This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but will influence and guide continuous improvement personnel.

Salary Range Transparency:
Blacksburg, VA $85,000.00-$115,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
