As a Senior Digital Designer / CRO Lead, you will help shape and optimize Everlane's digital experience across the customer journey. You'll combine strong visual and UX design skills with a data-driven approach to conversion rate optimization, using research, experimentation, and analytics to identify opportunities and improve the site experience.

HOW WE WORK
  • We're an extremely collaborative team and work closely with ecommerce, product, engineering, marketing, and creative partners as well as key stakeholders across the organization.
  • We participate in cross-team collaborations with data, marketing, CX, and ecommerce teams.
  • We put an emphasis on the entire design and optimization process - from strategic definition and research to ideation, prototyping, execution, testing, and analysis.
  • We use customer behavior, quantitative data, and qualitative insights to inform design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • We move fast, iterate often, and use testing and learnings to continuously improve the customer experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You might tackle any of the below at Everlane:

  • Design and optimize experiences across Everlane's customer-facing ecommerce website, including Homepage, Collection Pages, Product Detail Pages, and other key customer touchpoints.
  • Identify opportunities to improve conversion, engagement, and customer experience through a combination of design, analytics, customer insights, and experimentation.
  • Ideate, design, and support the execution of A/B tests and other experimentation initiatives focused on improving conversion and customer behavior.
  • Develop hypotheses based on quantitative and qualitative data and translate insights into actionable design and optimization recommendations.
  • Analyze customer behavior and funnel performance to identify friction points and opportunities across the ecommerce journey.
  • Partner with ecommerce, product, engineering, data, and marketing teams to prioritize and execute CRO initiatives.
  • Design and prototype new experiences, features, and site components with a focus on usability, accessibility, and conversion.
  • Define complex end-to-end UX flows for a variety of touchpoints and user scenarios.
  • Conduct and leverage quantitative and qualitative research, including behavioral analytics, usability testing, and customer feedback.
  • Use experimentation results and performance data to iterate on designs and inform future experiences.
  • Run usability testing to validate designs, test assumptions, and uncover customer pain points.
  • Help build and implement Everlane's design system while ensuring designs support both brand and business objectives.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous testing, learning, and optimization across the ecommerce experience.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a design discipline, including but not limited to Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, UI/UX, or Graphic Design.
  • 5+ years of experience designing digital products or ecommerce experiences.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and the ability to create thoughtful, visually compelling digital experiences
  • Experience with CRO and experimentation platforms such as Contentsquare, Optimizely, Shoplift, Intelligems, or similar tools.
  • Experience with conversion rate optimization, A/B testing, experimentation, or data-informed design.
  • Ability to translate customer behavior and performance data into actionable design recommendations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with ecommerce, product, engineering, data, and/or marketing teams.
  • Proven working knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Principle, or Framer.
  • Experience with user research and usability testing.
  • Understanding of ecommerce metrics and conversion funnels, including CVR, CTR, add-to-cart, checkout progression, and revenue per visit.
  • Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and optimization recommendations.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects and priorities.
NICE TO HAVES
  • Experience in ecommerce, retail, or consumer-facing technology.
  • Experience using analytics and behavioral tools such as Google Analytics, Looker, Contentsquare, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript.
  • Experience designing for Shopify or other ecommerce platforms.
  • Strong interest in using data and experimentation to balance customer needs, brand, and business performance.

The Fine Print:

LA: This is a full-time role based in our Los Angeles Creative Studio located in the Arts District. We are on a hybrid schedule, with at least three days in the office per week, Tuesdays through Thursdays.

California Residents:  At Everlane, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The annual compensation range for this role is $81,000 - $120,000. This range is based on the Los Angeles geographic area and the actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
