Job description

SNIPES Digital Operations Manager

Bensalem, PA

Hybrid

We live sneakers, streetwear, and neighborhood culture! All Day! Every Day!

With more than 750 stores in Europe and the USA, SNIPES is one of the leading sneaker and streetwear retailers worldwide. Since opening its first store in Essen, Germany in 1998, SNIPES has been an integral part of street culture and is constantly growing thanks to its proximity to the community and regular openings worldwide.

At SNIPES, everything revolves around youth culture. In stores and online at snipes.com and snipesusa.com, our community finds a wide range of internationally renowned sneakers and apparel brands for the latest fits from head to toe. We dive deep into subcultures, sponsor some of the biggest hip-hop festivals, events, and sports teams throughout the world to stay close to our community and keep our deep roots in the global street culture community. Therefore, we work closely with key figures from the scene like DJ Khaled, our Chief Creative Officer. But whether it’s sponsorships or developing grassroots projects – we prioritize giving back to the community in everything we do.

SNIPES has always kept an ear to the streets to create a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. Through our community program “SNIPES serves” and its localized approach we support the needs of our communities, empower, and celebrate our dynamic culture.

Overview

Reporting to the Director of Digital Merchandising, the Digital Operations Manager owns the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of SNIPESUSA.com and the SNIPES app. This role sets operational direction for the digital storefront and leads execution across content, features, site functionality, search, and performance - turning merchandising and marketing priorities into a clear, executable plan.

The Digital Operations Manager provides strategic oversight of the full digital experience, including the app, while delegating day-to-day app ownership to their direct reports, whom this role guides and develops. Working across the ecommerce stack the Manager pairs hands-on technical problem-solving with strategic ownership: driving issues to resolution, shaping the roadmap with merchandising and development, and raising the bar on quality, speed, and conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day operation, quality, and performance of SNIPESUSA.com, and provide strategic oversight of the SNIPES app.
  • Set operational direction and priorities for the digital storefront, translating business goals into an executable plan across web and app.
  • Lead the build and optimization of homepage features, landing pages, carousels, promotional blocks, and core site functionality.
  • Own site search and product discovery strategy in Algolia, including AI-powered search, recommendations, and personalization to drive findability and conversion.
  • Partner with merchandising and development to shape and prioritize the web and app roadmap, balancing business impact, effort, and customer value.
  • Provide oversight and final review of major app initiatives and releases to ensure alignment with digital strategy and brand standards, while their team manages day-to-day app ownership.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize within SFCC or a comparable platform, and drive complex backend issues to resolution end-to-end with development teams and vendors.
  • Analyze site and app performance using GA4 and ContentSquare, turning data into prioritized improvements and clear recommendations for leadership.
  • Lead A/B testing, QA, and launch coordination for significant features and modules.
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging tools — including AI-assisted content, merchandising, and analytics workflows — to improve speed, quality, and the customer experience.
  • Guide, mentor, and develop their team, providing direction, feedback, and growth support.
  • Hold cross-functional partners and vendors accountable to shared goals, surfacing friction directly and in real time.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and increase operational efficiency.
  • Stay ahead of ecommerce, app, and AI trends, bringing new ideas to the SNIPES digital experience.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in ecommerce operations, digital merchandising, or site/app management.
  • Experience with — or strong familiarity with platforms comparable to — SFCC, Algolia, GA4, and ContentSquare.
  • Strong understanding of web and app platforms, CMS tools, and working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership: a track record of driving issues to resolution with development teams and vendors without needing escalation.
  • Experience setting direction and priorities for a digital storefront, and shaping — not just executing — the roadmap.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn GA4 and ContentSquare data into action and clear recommendations.
  • Experience guiding, mentoring, or developing other team members.
  • A product-minded approach, comfortable with roadmap prioritization and owning outcomes.
  • Confident communicator and collaborator who can push back constructively and hold cross-functional partners accountable.

Special Requirements

  • Occasional evening or weekend work required during peak periods or major launches.

Cultural Success Factors

  • Enthusiasm for the brand
  • Consumer obsessed
  • Ownership mindset
  • Innovative mindset
  • Collaborative nature
  • Skillful communicator
  • Data-driven decision making
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Disciplined and self-motivated
