The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing high-quality marketing content to support campaigns, product initiatives, and brand awareness efforts. This role focuses on content creation, marketing automation execution, and program support across digital channels, including webinars and partner marketing initiatives.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce a wide range of marketing content including email campaigns, webinar invitations, press releases, case studies, campaign messaging, and other promotional materials
  • Execute marketing campaigns within marketing automation platforms such as Marketo or similar tools, including email builds, list management, and campaign deployment
  • Develop and maintain marketing reports and dashboards that measure campaign performance, customer engagement, webinar effectiveness, and other key marketing metrics while supporting recurring reporting needs across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and leadership.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, sales, and partner teams to gather information and translate it into clear, compelling content
  • Support the planning and execution of the company's webinar program, including content development, promotion, and follow-up communications
  • Assist in the development of partner marketing content and initiatives to support strategic partnerships
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, messaging, and campaign objectives
  • Manage multiple content projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
  • Research industry topics, trends, and competitors to support content development
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support marketing campaigns, product launches, and company initiatives

Desired Qualifications/Skills

  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content for various audiences
  • Experience developing both short-form and long-form content (emails, blogs, case studies, press releases, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation platforms such as Marketo or similar tools
  • Understanding of content marketing principles and digital marketing channels
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Basic understanding of SEO and content performance best practices

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or related field
  • Experience using marketing automation tools (Marketo preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred, equivalent experience may be considered

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a desk, computer terminal or meeting table for a long period of time
  • Ability to use hands and fingers or adaptive equipment to safely operate assigned equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to use telephone frequently for a long period of time, and to hear and speak clearly by telephone
  • Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed. Travel requirements may include running office errands and visiting prospective company event venues

Location and Compensation

Must be local to San Diego County. This is a hybrid-remote role; candidates based in San Diego County are expected to work a minimum of one day per week in the office. The salary range for this role is $62,000 to $87,000 per year, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
