Welcome to Clean Wisconsin, a team of passionate environmental advocates and experts who are committed to protecting Wisconsin’s vital natural resources and building a clean, healthy, and equitable future for everyone in our state. We are seeking an experienced, creative leader who will develop and implement compelling content across our digital platforms. If you have a strong understanding of digital marketing, enjoy creating content that stops the scroll, and have a passion for building an online community of advocates, we want to hear from you.

Our Digital Content Manager will play a key role in ensuring all of our online channels work together to tell the story of Clean Wisconsin and the environmental issues impacting communities across our state.

This position requires an exceptionally organized, creative, clear communicator who can help move our campaigns forward within a fast-paced communications environment. The position will be based in our Madison, Wisconsin office.

Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality and engaging content for our various online channels, including social media, emails, and website.
  • Use analytics and data to track and measure the success of our digital engagement efforts and make data-driven decisions to improve our strategy.
  • Oversee paid digital advertising and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and manage content calendars to ensure a consistent and strategic cadence of content across all digital channels.
  • Capture and edit videos and photos to support digital storytelling.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and community building to continuously improve our strategy and content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and alignment of messaging and branding across all digital channels.
  • Assist with event planning, promotion and livestreaming.
  • Occasional in-state travel.
Skills and Experience
  • Experience managing social media channels, including content creation, monitoring social trends, growing audiences, and tracking engagement analytics.
  • Proficiency with WordPress, Google Analytics, and Meta and Google advertising platforms.
  • Experience with digital content creation and design tools.
  • Experience creating and managing a content calendar.
  • Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Able to translate complex topics into easy-to-understand, compelling posts that reach and move a variety of audiences.
  • Experience creating and updating website pages.
  • Able to take feedback and edit work products in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Able to manage multiple projects, prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines.

Required Work Experience and Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communication, public relations, journalism, marketing or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Three (3) years of progressive experience in content management, digital marketing, social media strategy or related field.
Compensation

Salary range for the position is $60,000-70,000 commensurate with skills and experience. Benefits package includes health and dental insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan with a 6% employer match, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, and paid time off.
