Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Content Producer manages projects from planning, through shooting and editing. Responsible for budget, meeting timeline and ensuring the goals of the project stay focused. Requires advanced skills in a high-volume content production environment and ability to exercise discretion and judgment and operate without any direct supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Produces segments including planning budget, talent, location calendar, crew, and many other tasks related to video and photo production producing.
  • Leads briefs to align all business partners.
  • Leads all aspects of projects to eliminate time-sensitive bottlenecks and produce high-quality creative expediently.
  • Builds relationships with cross-functional teams to deliver asks while crafting an environment that allows for innovation.
  • Works with marketing and/or creative team to concept direction and define goals of project.
  • Writes and/or working with writer to control story line and theme of a segment.
  • Works with team to design story boards and shot lists.
  • Manages voice over sessions.
  • Works with Video/Photo Manager to plan impact of a project on overall department production calendar.
  • Reviews media/photos for post-production uses.
  • Maintains high level of knowledge and skills for position through training, participation in on-line forums and work groups, and in sharing knowledge and experiences with peers in the industry.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in communications, video/audio production, related multimedia, or equivalent in content studio productions industry
  • Experience: 5+ years in a related field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Well-organized and detailed person who is also passionate about production
  • Able to work flexible schedule as production schedule demands or as they are assigned.
  • Solid knowledge of computers in WIN and MAC OS.
  • Advanced understanding in aesthetics of editing and storytelling with video/photo.
  • Advocational interest in fishing and hunting is a plus. Overall general knowledge of sports and interest BPS serves.
  • Possess a strong work ethic with an outgoing personality and ability to interact within group of creative individuals in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Willingness to react with short notice to changes in daily routine.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to understand direction and communicate concerns in working with overall production schedule.
  • Willingness to invest time in further training and education to stay current with media standards.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy equipment in variety of terrain and conditions from very hot to very cold.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 30%

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Regularly performs computer work and sits.
  • Occasionally walks and stands.
  • Seldom/never lifts up to 50lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
  • Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
